Anyone ever made lettuce soup?

Covent Garden lettuce and spring onion soup recipe, using iceberg lettuce. But lettuce doesn't taste of much, so surely lettuce soup isn't going to taste of much either?! Anyone every made lettuce soup and what's it like?

I grew lots of AYR (butterheads) a couple o years ago.

Course had a glut! Made fab soup. G'on G'on!

It's good. Use a good stock, add a bit of nutmeg, and a swirl of cream. Learned to do it for a housewares when there was a glut.
