I need ideas, what can I do with a pack of lamb mince? I usually make homemade donner meat, but want something different! Thanks.

We have lamb in passatta and herbs (red wine, carrotts and bacon optional) with cheese and mustard scone cobbler topping.

Lamb koftas with salad and tzatziki in pitta bread are a favourite here.

My boys absolutely adore this recipe. It's a huge hit in our house. I just have to restrain myself from eating the leftovers!

Scotch Pie?

somebloke123 · 16/03/2012 16:09

Moussaka and shepherd's are my favourites.

It's a matter of taste of course but when using lamb mince I always start by frying the mince separately then draining off the fat. It's surprising how much it produces.

Cooked with dried apricots or dates, like a tagine only with mince instead of diced lamb or mutton?

sobenobu · 16/03/2012 21:55

Keema is the only thing I make with lamb mince. It has to have a decent squirt of lime juice or tamarind in it at the end though.
