I'm making on tonight and have cut up red pepper and onions

There must be a world of possibility out there for what else I can add. I'd put mushrooms in but the DC don't like them

Inspire me!!

(it's a curry powder mix for the sauce btw if that makes a difference)

Chick peas, spinach, coconut milk, green beans. Okra is good if you can get hold of it. I'm just waiting for my food shopping to be delivered then I can start making our curry. If you use spinach put it in a couple of minutes before its ready.

GinPalace · 10/03/2012 16:32

I put in ground almonds, dessicated coconut, sultanas and chick peas. :)

GinPalace · 10/03/2012 16:33

normal peas too are good. And almost any veg that needs using up!

ShirleyKnot · 10/03/2012 16:33

If you're a filthy food pervert ou can put raisins in there.

TheFallenMadonna · 10/03/2012 16:36

DS is cooking chicken curry tonight. He is going to add peppers and butternut squash apparently.

Ooh I'd like spinach - sadly other won't - might sneak some into it, with the mushrooms, after the boys have had their share

I've heard of okra - not sure I'd be able to pick it out of a line up though

OOOO okra is yum it is shaped and sized like baby corn on the cob but is dark green and sort of hairy though to feel not to look at. When you chop it up the insides are slimey - sounds hideous from my description but it's not it is yummy!

AtAmber · 10/03/2012 16:53

If you want spinach just for your portion pour some boiling water over some in a colander, squeeze it to get excess liquid out then put it on the plate and pour the curry over it. I do this sometimes.

and where can ii be got?

In the food perv section of a supermarket or elsewhere?

Obviously no going to make it into tonights as it being cooked now, but I'm iinterested

usually food perv section alongside the likes of chillis and aubergines. Comes in small packets like baby corn cobs. :)

Moln · 10/03/2012 16:59

Thanks AtAmber - good idea

I'll be eating later as I'm out of sync with everyone elses eating today, shall wait till the boys are in bed

shall have to be more observant in the veg section from now on, especially the perverted area

once many moons ago I had friends from home staying with us, I put sultans into the curry. DH threatened to leave me, and then questioned our mental health when everyone else said they liked them in curries.

Moln · 10/03/2012 17:06

Sultanas not sultans.

Obviously!!

ShirleyKnot · 10/03/2012 17:24
