Having sit down vs forky supper dilemma.
Have menu planned if sit down dinner. But now may have extra guests and don't know what to make if we end up having to have fork supper cos too cosy if we all sit up at table.

So, what are your best 'eat with fork only hot buffet' style recipes?

How about a Tapas style meal?

Lots of different dishes set about and everyone can dip in and out of what they want.

Chicken drumsticks. Hot pasta salad. Baked potatoes with cheese.

For example

Paella, Meatballs, Salad, Marinate Chicken pieces, Patatas Bravas etc.

I have recipes for all of the below. Pretty simple but you will need some good prep time.

Things like meatballs you could buy instead of making yourself which would save some time.

Patatas Bravas is dead simple. Cut the potaoes into 2cmish cubes and par boil for 10 mins until just soft, then transfer and fry till cooked. For the sauce all you need is a few tins of toms, onions, paprika and some chilli powder or Tabasco if you want it hot.

The sauce for the meatballs is the same. You could add or change anything in it but all it is basically is a thick tom sauce.

Salad, add boiled eggs, tuna, peppers and use beef tomatoes.

Chicken, cut in to bite size pieces and marinate in lemon juice, ground ginger and honey. Marinate for at least 1 hour. (Very tasty if left longer)

Paella, rice cooked in veg or chicken stock. You could do a veg paella or seafood with prawns etc or a meat one with chorizo in.

You could also do a mix of beans although not sure which ones.

Check out Waitrose's website as they have a few good ideas.
