lamb question

I am making a lamb and coconut pilaf and the recipe calls for lamb shoulder or neck but I have got lamb leg steaks - if I use it shall I cook for less time as the meat is leaner? I don't want tough lamb as its cooked for an hour and half in the oven.
Thanks

It shouldnt matter, I would do the leg steaks for the same amount of time - lamb is always at its best when cooked slow.

Lamb? What it is to be rich! Seriously, if you're a bit worried - and I agree, if you don't get the cooking right with Lamb it's a disaster - I think I'd use a slow cooker but of course, if you haven't got one then that's not much help LOL.

Hope it all goes well.
