Morrisons own brand whoopie pie mix in a purple bag. You can't fail and it's delicious!

Why not make a cake without using a mix? It's easy leash and you can still use the a betty crocker frosting. an all in one recipe mis just as easy as a mix and much nicer!

Easy peasy that should say!

Sainsbo's own lemon drizzle cake mix is gorgeous

I agree the Betty Crocker devils food cake is amazing I love baking but can NEVER get a chocolate cake to taste like that!!

Cake mixes are just self raising flour, suar and cocoa powder, seeing as you have to add the fat and eggs yourself it would be much cheaper and just as easy to follow a simple cake recipe.

I use Sainsbury Value cake mix at about 25p a pop. When I'm pushed for time that is.

No fat required, just one egg and two tbs. water. The whole thing takes about three minutes to whiz up and get in the oven.

The clearing up in negligible and you can flavour with anything you like.

I have added walnuts, coffee, courgette, banana, chocolate and lemon.

Not all at the same time of course.
Then finish with whatever frosting you fancy.

It's a cheat I know, but hey, it works.

Made in a swiss roll tin it can be cut into fingers and eaten that way.

tesco value is brilliant and can be adapted to make anything. Really good in a hurry and I have got loads of compliments on it! Also costs about 20c a bag.
