How to grow and freeze mushrooms?

That's it really, have a couple of punnets in the fridge and an unopened grow your own kit in the garage and wondered if it is possible to freeze them and if so how? Many thanks.

AFAIK you need to cook them before you can freeze them, I've both steamed and fried them, and both work quite well, one thing to bare in mind is that once frozen they don't keep their original texture.

I'd cook them first as well. They're mostly water which expands on freezing, breaks down the cell walls and means they are more mush than room on defrosting. The ones you can get commercially have been blast-frozen rapidly and, even then, they're only just edible. If you have lots you could make a fantastic Mushroom Curry!!!
