is there such a thing? I have cheese from the deli with a use-by date of about a week ago... Brie, Stilton, a few others. No mould other than that which should be there. It'll be OK won't it?

As long as it smells ok and tastes ok, and you're not pregnant or otherwise immune-compromised... yes, it will be fine.

I thought so, thanks. Don't know why they had a use-by date on - wouldn't have crossed my mind to worry otherwise.

Oh yeah, it'll be fine!

Cheese gets better with age.
Eat it.

If it's not moving, it's fine.
