We are - just putting the oven on now to warm. We have half a leg of lamb and will do roast potatoes, steamed veg and gravy.

Posey · 29/01/2006 15:28

Not today as I'm having a lazy day and only me eats it. DS is well into a fussy eating stage.
Will probably have it tomorrow.
It's 4pm am we are still in our PJ's.

Roast Pork in this house today!
Was going to be Lamb until we didn't move house

colditz · 29/01/2006 16:11

No we are having frozen pizza. I don't care, I like it. I quite often have a roast dinner on a week day.

colditz · 29/01/2006 16:12

I expect moondog to come and thwack me, with a Tesco Value garlic flavoured baguette, for my hideous food choices now....

jenk1 · 29/01/2006 16:13

yes, roast lamb -the works

Surfermum · 29/01/2006 16:15

Spursmum. I had to go and get dressed to buy the chicken to roast. I am starting to see the attraction of meal planning and shopping on line.

spursmum · 29/01/2006 16:18

He he he Surfermum!! Ds is wandering the flat in PJ's and elephant wellies! I am now going to sit in bed and watch a dvd with a large cup of tea. Oh the hardship of choosing what to watch!

MarsOnLife · 29/01/2006 16:19

We've had roast chicken, roast potatoes, roast sweet potatoes, broccoli and carrots.

Just about to eat a delicious hot chocolate pud!

ladymuck · 29/01/2006 16:46

We had roast chicken - if that counts.

Am curious though - do you have your Sunday roast as an evening meal then? I've always done them at lunchtime. Now I'm wondering why I've been a slave to this habit, but Sundays alwasy equated a roast lunch to me. Ho hum.

lucy5 · 29/01/2006 16:47

No we are having faggots , mash , veg and rhubarb crumble with custard. Keeping it Spanish

nowanearlyNicemum · 29/01/2006 16:58

Sunday roast has GOT to be lunchtime for me.
We had friends round and I made roast chicken with lemon and garlic, cabbage, peas and of course roast potatoes.
Dessert was apple and hazelnut tart...........think I might sneak into the kitchen and finish the one piece that was left over actually....

Posey · 29/01/2006 19:59

When I was a kid, we always had roast dinner at lunch time. Mum would make it while me and sis were at church (we sang in the choir) and dad was doing other chores that dads do on Sundays. Then she would have the afternoon completely free.

I do it for later in the day as these days if I eat a big lunch it sends me to sleep and also kids do better at tea time than lunch.
