We made 3 batches of this for the kids teachers at Christmas, and they have all said it tasted amazing! You can let the kids help with this, it's so easy.

500g white chocolate
1 tin of condensed milk
1 packet of Oreos

Line a 8/8 inch baking tray with greaseproof paper. Bash the Oreos into small chunks. Put white chocolate and condensed milk in a saucepan over low heat and stir frequently until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in Oreo cookies. Pour mixture into the prepared tray. Refrigerate for 2 hours (I found overnight best though). Slice into fudge size chunks.

I did some of this at Christmas too, but I wasn't kind enough to share it with the teachers! I agree, it was bloody delicious.

Its cheap too, I used Sainsburies basics white chocolate, at 33p a bar (need 5 bars) a tin of condensed milk was 99p and the Oreos were on special at 50p a pack!

Ok all you fudge experts, can you help me out?

I tried to make some fudge with-

200g chocolate
1 tin condensed milk
100g icing sugar

And it's quite gloppy. I chilled it in the fridge and managed to cut it up but it's all stuck together in the tin. Fudge is meant to be a bit dry and almost crumbly and this stuff was gooey.

What did I do wrong?

So what was the consistency of your fudge then?

DoodleAlley · 28/02/2012 07:49

What size tin condensed milk please?

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 28/02/2012 08:14

This fudge is almost fudge-like in texture! It holds firm and then has a yummy bite to it :)

Doodle - 397g tin

I have made proper fudge before, but ages ago. I thought this might be some kind of miraculous too good to be true cheat. Oh well. Will try the Oreos recipe, the biscuit might hold it together a bit better.

ClaraDeLaNoche · 28/02/2012 21:14

Wow sounds delicious. I will try.

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 01/03/2012 18:33

Has anyone tried it yet?

I use Sainsburies Basics at 33p a bar! Tin of condensed milk at 89p, packet of Oreos 49p (both hOme bargains) makes for very cheap fudge!

I have just made this to take to a friends house tonight-will let u know how it goes down :)

Really easy and simple to make-I used morrisons own chocolate and their own condensed milk so worked out quite cheap :)
