scone recipe?

am looking for a recipe to make scones for dd1s lunch box, with a few for me us all to have as snacks.
I want a tried and tested recipe, one that I can't mess up!
Any help would be great, Tia

Higgsbosom, thanks so much for that link, made some this morning, they are delicious, and the quantity was great, made 24!

I put a tsp of mixed spice in mine, makes them really tasty!
