Slimming World....what are the basics?

Can anyone give me the low down on the red/green days? I think I may give them a go in the New Year but not now as too much going on but I thought I'd try and give the basics bits a go?! Anyone know?? I don't need to loose loads but am currntly the heaviest I've ever been, still sqeezing into size 10 though. But with Xmas looming I want to nip it in the bud if I can.

Very basically, on red days you can eat loads of protein (ie meat) and on green days you can eat loads of carbs (ie potato). So you could have one sausage and a mountain of mash, or tonnes of sausages and a spoonful of mash, but not regular bangers and mash!!

Can you have fruit and veg whenever??What about eggs?

You can have unlimited fruit and veg (except Potatoes) on both days and you are also allowed about 10 'sins' a day as treats and extras.
