Mine doesnt eat food yet (only a tiny baby) but my Mam is a childminder and her charges favourite meals are Butternut Squash Soup and meatballs in gravy over rice. They also love her goulash, with salad and crusty bread.

Was talking about top 5 meals with DC the other day when trying to meal plan.
DD 11 pasta, pasta, pasta, with meatballs, bolognase, cheese sauce, tomato sauce, pesto you get the picture! Roast chicken, cottage pie, steak pie and mash.

DS1 Lasagne, chilli con carne, chilli beef burritos, curry, roast pork and toad-in-the hole.

DS2 is 14 months, he likes most foods so far especially "mabananas" doesn't like chicken or anything too dry.

My best tip for getting DC to really enjoy food is get them involved with the cooking. My DC will try almost anything if they have had a hand in the preparation of it.

DS (9) and DD (5) love fish pie, meatballs in sweet & sour sauce, tuna pasta bake, savoury pancakes, ham omelettes, chicken kebabs, shepards pie, sweet chicken curry, chicken loaf, lasagne, fish cakes.

DS also loves burgers, sausages, mash and chips.

DD loves roasts, jacket potatoes and risottos.

I'm lucky, they like food.

DS is 3 and his favourite is either Chicken Fajitas or Beany Sausage casserole with creamy mash :D

msbuggywinkle · 26/02/2012 15:36

DD1 (5) and DD2 (2) love pasta with cheese sauce and broccoli, or sausage casserole, or egg fried rice.

Roasts, gong bao chicken, vietnamese stuff, homemade pizza, paella with spinach and chorizo, brisket. She's a real 'meat and two veg girl'. Doesn't like sandwiches.

Newly weaned child eats everything.

When DS was younger his favourite tea was Darjeeling, but now he prefers Earl Grey.

overmydeadbody · 28/02/2012 17:35

zanz1bar my DS doesn't like lapsang souschong, but I keep trying it with him in the hope that he will eventually acquire a taste for it. I cannot keep serving him the same tea day after day, variety is key surely?

bibbityisaporker · 28/02/2012 17:36

Dd (11) loves cous cous which I usually do with roasted peppers, cherry tomatoes, garlic, basil etc and plain roasted chicken thighs.
