Batter separated - can I whisk it up and use it?

Made batter for toad in the hole yesterday evening but didn't use it so put it in the fridge. Was planning to use it tonight but it has separated. Not sure what and why. Can I whisk it up again and use it or will it kill us?

Yes, it will be absolutely fine - and my old Gran used to say it worked better if you made it the day before you used it!
