Chocolate cake filling

I've got a chocolate cake to fill when I get home. I'm thinking of blending light cream cheese and nutella. Sounds hideous written down, but I hope the lactic sourness of the Philadelphia will go well with the ultra sweet nutella.

What do you think? Or any other ideas?

Buttercream filling? Butter icing sugar and cocoa powder??? Not sure quantities but you could google. Or just Nutella. But no reason why nutella and cream cheese shouldn't work. After all isn't that kinda the same topping as used on carrot cake?

Well, I tried the nutella and Philadelphia combo and I thought it went pretty well. Although one of my dear children wiped the filling onto a piece of kitchen paper when his sister told him what was in it. Angry Charming.

I shall beat him later.

I'm a bit late but;

Nutella Buttercream is yummy.

100g icing sugar
100g Butter
2 tbsp nutella
1 tbsp Milk (you might need a bit more)

I beat the butter a bit first and then chuck everything else in and beat until smooth.

For adults only whipped double cream with icing sugar and a tablespoon of amaretto.
