Not at all stealth boast about making bread

Can I just say, I made naan bread tonight and it was absolutely brilliant and quite easy?

Now I have a question: will it freeze okay?

I'm sure it will freeze fine. Can I have the recipe?

No problem: I'll have a look in a min. It's a Madhur Jaffrey one from the 1980s or 1990s.

Here you go, me dear.

It is loads nicer than shop-bought naan, plus we are a lactose free household at the mo and it works with soya yoghurt just as well (not soya milk, though: I used lacto-free). If you do use soya yog, you need to reduce the sugar a bit or add more salt, as soya yoghurt is quite sickly sweet compared to normal yog.

Honestly, the best bit is that they only take about 5 mins in the oven, and if you have a really hot oven you don't need to bother putting them under the grill at all.

I made 12 smaller naans rather than 6 large ones, as it makes them easier to freeze.

Thanks very much-can't wait to try! Have tried making a few times with different recipes and not been very pleased.

I think to reheat I would defrost, sprinkle with water and pop under the grill for a couple of minutes like you do with shop bought ones.
