Making pancakes ahead of time

I need to make pancakes on Tue evening for about 20-25 people. Can I make them earlier in the day? And heat them through in the oven or microwave? If I pile them up do I need greaseproof paper between them to stop them sticking? Has anyone done this before? Thanks

I've froze pancakes before so it's ok to make them earlier. I put greaseproof paper between them but that was more so I could just take the amount I needed, but I would say yes put greaseproof paper between them.

I make them ahead sometimes. They're not quite as good as fresh but they're fine. I never use greaseproof between them although I always read that you should.

However, I'd warm them through in a frying pan; they only need 30 seconds or so each side, and then serve as you go. Never tried warming them in an oven, and I definitely don't fancy microwaved pancakes (I'm thinking floppy!) but someone else might be along soon to tell you they have and it was fine!

My dd has leftover pancakes in her packed lunch. I just stack them on a plate, put them in the fridge and microwave them in the morning.

Thank you. Feeling a bit more confident now!
