Freezing fish pie, a few questions

Yes, this is as exciting as my Saturday nights get.

I am making my MIL a couple of fish pies which I am going to freeze. I am a complete novice at freezing fresh food, all food usually gets eaten in this house. So questions:

  1. Can I freeze it with the fish raw?

  2. Do I need to wait for it to cool down before bunging in the freezr

  3. What does MIL need to do to reheat

TIA

I cook the fish pie, let it cool and then freeze, when I want to cook it I tak eit out to defrost and then put it in th eoven until it is hot all the way through.

If I freeze a fish pie, I poach or microwave the fish, soften carrots, celery and onion then mix all of it with a white sauce. Cover it with mash. Then I freeze it. So everything is cooked, but it hasn't had the baking in the oven stage. Defrost then do the oven bit with a few extra mins to take account of everything being room temp to start.
