Hi, I have been inspired my M'netters who menu plan and have decided I am going to start and get organised.

I'm a bit bored by what we have on a weekly basis anyway and was hoping for a definitive list I could then use and rotate weekly/monthly/whatever.

Oh by the way I'd really like uncomplicated, tasty quick dishes.

Thanks.

Bozza I was thinking that takes a long time to prepare or may be fiddly a non kiddie dish or hot/chilli flavours.

Great long list, thanks Enid

It's just that I don't differentiate really. The ones I listed are fairly uncomplicated in general though.

Yes Bozza great ideas too. Will look up recipe for Jambalaya I think.

pretty much what others have listed here

egg noodles stir fried with bacon, onion and a dash of soy sauce goes down well too and very easy

plus I make up loads of cheese sauce, and crumble topping, both of which I freeze in batches. Whip them out of freezer, cook up a few veg, bung cheese sauce and crumble on top - much easier than doing it all from scratch. Also do this with fish for quick fish crumble.

cod, dd says bacon is too chewy but she likes the taste - but won't eat it

Bozza · 25/01/2006 10:16

I use bacon too Cod. It's on my next week's menu - bacon and mushroom tagliatelle. It's pretty much like spag bol - only bacon and tag, instead of mince and spag. V. quick and easy.

Also Mercy cooked in the tomato sauce and chopped into small pieces it is less chewy.

Puff, what a wicked idea re freezing batches of crumble like topping and cheese sauce for quick assembly. Marvellous idea!
