i bought some pork in the butchers on fri, marinated on sat and made up a casserole for the slow cooker to cook yesterday whilst we were out, which i forgot to switch on. so it was left in the (cold) kitchen all day yesterday, and put in fridge as soon as we got home. so my question is, do you reckon it will be ok to cook and eat today? or not? am always a bit nervy of leaving meat hanging about.

I wouldn't but if I did I would cremate it!

If it was above 5 degrees for that long I just wouldn't.

Although, as a kid we used to store all sorts of perishable stuff in a 'meat safe' in a cellar for days on end above 5 degrees.
