hello,

I could have sworn I had some in the store cupboard but... I don't!

I'm baking a cake (marmalade bar from march bbcgoodfood) and I need 2 tablespoons of icing sugar for the glaze, I have pretty much every other type of sugar, can anyone suggest the best alternative????

Thanks!

Do you have a pestle and mortar? Caster sugar crushed up a bit in the mortar works quite well. Perhaps if not you could crush it in a bag under a rolling pin.
