Does anyone have it - is it worth getting? Am going to treat myself to a new book but can't decide between that one, the Soup Kitchen or Hugh Fearnley-what's-his-name's Family Dinners. Hoping wise Mumsnetters will point me in the right direction .

Yes, I've got the Green and Blacks chocolate recipe book and there are some lovely recipes in there, particularly if you like chocolate cakes that are not too sweet. I haven't seen the other two books, but I'd probably base my choice on which recipe area (chocolate, soups, family dinners) I most needed new inspiration with. (Talking of Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, I nearly bought the River Cottage book as a going to college present for DH's nephew - the bit about keeping your own pig seemed ideally suited to a student room!)

Mixed reviews for the River Cottage book then. Hmmm ... back to Amazon for another look!
