I love fish finger sandwiches. Try a Pot Noodle sandwich, they are good too!

PogueMahone · 03/02/2012 18:33

I just had one too. With mayo. Food of the gods.

TitsForBrains · 03/02/2012 18:36

I've just had two and they were lovely!

Pascha · 03/02/2012 18:36

Envy with salad cream I hope?

AtYourCervix · 03/02/2012 18:39

fishless fingers with mayo mm mmmm mmmmmmmmmmmm

LadySybilDeChocolate · 03/02/2012 18:40

Salad cream? They have to be made with ketchup! Shock

Pascha · 03/02/2012 18:46

Cervix are you just dipping your fingers in the mayo Confused? Ketchup's alright but salad cream is the bees knees.

nkf · 03/02/2012 18:47

What a nice idea. Might try eat one myself. Not salad cream though. Or mayo. Ketchup only.

AngryFeet · 03/02/2012 18:48

I prefer mine with ketchup and sometimes cheese. So many good sandwiches can be made with unusual fillings. I like KFC chicken (thighs with all the meat and breaded skin taken off the bone and put in a sarnie or roll with ketchup) or chips the best. Drooool!

Bellie · 03/02/2012 18:48

my fav comfort food. fab with piri piri mayo!

ginmakesitallok · 03/02/2012 18:49

I had a middle class fish finger sandwich - homemade breaded haddock fingers, mayo in Pain de Campagne - WOW it was good!!!

AtYourCervix · 03/02/2012 18:49

no the quorn, fish and wheat free type ones. mm mmmm mmmmmmmm with mayo and maybe a dash of sweet chilli dipping sauce.

trixymalixy · 03/02/2012 18:49

Mmmm I love a fishfinger sandwich.

nkf · 03/02/2012 18:50

I've had one of those. In a gastro pub. It was described as "crispy goujons of haddock in a warm ciabatta roll." But you can't fool me. That's a fish finger sandwich that is.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 03/02/2012 18:51

Think I've just decided on my tea...with the remains of the tiger giraffe bread. Mmmmm

nkf · 03/02/2012 18:52

Annoying. Only have brown bread. Will it work?

KenDoddsDadsDog · 03/02/2012 18:53

I love a fish finger sandwich. Brown or white , lupack, ketchup mmmm

cairnterrier · 03/02/2012 18:53

Fishfinger sandwiches approach perfection status when made with brown bread, no butter, tomato ketchup and mushy peas.

They are perfectly adequate when made with tomato sauce alone.

nkf · 03/02/2012 18:54

Well, i'm off to make mine.

LoveInAColdClimate · 03/02/2012 18:55

One of the world's finest foods.

BoringSchoolChoiceNickname · 03/02/2012 18:56

Smiths of Smithfield used to do them for brunch with tartar sauce. Mmmmm. I need to take the DCs to the Barbican Saturday morning film club I think - DH and the DCs can have fish finger sarnies and I can have their peanut butter and banana smoothie.

nkf · 03/02/2012 18:58

I think I've been to Smith of Smithfield. Is it the place that also does a sublime Scotch egg?

Pascha · 03/02/2012 18:59

Oh no butter needed. The chilli sauce sounds good though.

harbingerofdoom · 03/02/2012 18:59

Yum...White bread, cream cheese and ketchup but I always pick one side of the fishfinger breadcrumbs off...No idea whyto make them healthiero

Hassled · 03/02/2012 19:01

What you need is ketchup on one side, tartare sauce on the other. Sliced cheapo nasty white bread. And 3 fishfingers per sandwich is the optimum number.
