Chicken Pie recipe :)

Does anybody have a good one? One of my sons loves chicken pie so we want to make a homemade one. I will need to use frozen pastry.

We are thinking chicken and mushroom first but any chicken pie suggestions would be great for future experiments ;)

Chicken, bacon and leek is quite a winner in my house

Chicken and bacon is good - I use poncey pancetta cubes but bacon lardons would work.

I also do mock pie. ie I cook the filling on the hob and the frozen puff pastry top in the oven. Makes serving it easier :o Frozen puff pastry, obviously.

The Jamie Oliver 30 minute one is really nice, think its chicken leek and mushroom. dead easy too

Jamie's 30 min one wins hands down with all 4 of mine and they usually disagree on food favourites.
I seem to rememeber I cut down the liquid though...............?

Cook onion and add mushrooms
Add a tin of condensed mushroom soup thin with water or stock. Bring to the boil season (if needed) add chicken cook for 30 mins at a simmer.

put in pie dish add pastry top brush with egg cook for 30/45 mins .
