DD has had a stomach bug this week and also constipation for a week now. She isnt really eating the right foods to help make her go better. In fact she has stopped eating all fruit and very few veg. Any tips on how to get her eating again?

She is 16months.

Thanks

Anyone? She keeps crying lots morning and night and it seems like she is hungry but won't eat. She won't drink her dairy free milk before bed at the moment.

Finding it all rather upsetting.

I have no suggestions how to help but I wanted to bump your post!

I see you got there before me!

We always seem to have problems just as the weekend starts so no GP to help. That's if they can!

Really dont want to spend the weekend in the out of hours service to be fobbed off.

If she is still constipated it will affect her appetite. Have you tried prune juice? May clear her out a little to make some room in there

DD gets like this, she suffers from bad constipation and i find it realy upseting when she is in alot of pain, i often cry with her. DD goes day's without eating much, i think because she is so full up and can't go, soon as she has pooed she eats like a horse. I took dd to see the doctor and he gave her some lactose which seems to be helping. Sounds like your dd might need somthing to help her go, you could try prune juice also apple juice seems to work on dd.

Would that be neat juices?

Yes she is still constipated. She bled a little today at nursery apparently.

If she is that constipated I would give prune juice fairly neat, maybe enough water to make it more palatable. It is very sweet anyway, if you serve it warmed it will have a greater effect.

I would just keep giving it until it works.

I give it to dd neat,i only water down orange juice. I also find sugar puffs make her go and you can give them as a finger food. Somebody on here said sunny-d is good for constipation but i found it was full of e-numbers and made her hyper.

Too late for the juice now (will get some prune juice tomorow) She is too tired and wants to go to bed.

Thanks for the tips.
