I keep seeing money saving tips about buying decent bread on offer then freezing it for later use but i was wondering if it goes soggy and damp when thawed out? wet bread isnt very appealing! :o

Take it out of the plastic bag and thaw it out (still in a loaf) on a bit of paper towel - no soggy bread

I don't often do it, but when I do I stand it on one end of the loaf - it's always fine.

I just stick it in the freezer and get it out when needed. No spécial technique. Sliced loaves and uncut, shops bought and home made.

We always do this-all bread loves in tge freezer in this house & we've never had a soggy problem! I just take bread out & use it. I make sandwiches while it's still frozen, they're always fine by lunchtime. For toast the bread just goes into the toaster frozen.
