lovely, lovely dessert ideas

...anyone got any? I have 6 lovely neighbours coming round for dessert tomorrow night , we're doing a course at each house. I have dessert. I have no ideas on what to make. I have lots of bramley apples and a jar of amareno cherries in the cupboard - will need to go shopping, what shall I buy/make?

Well, doesn't fit with your ingredients, but I reckon there's no dessert like affogato al caffe - top quality vanilla ice cream, good strong black coffee; 2 scoops in the cup, pour coffee over. Aaaaahhhhhh I love it.
