Any recommendations please? Where can I get a good one from? I wanted to buy one off Amazon (Kitchen Craft) but the reviews are not very good. Thanks!

I would be inclined to make my own. Use a cork or substanial button for the end part that you hold. Let your imagination run free.

Good idea driftwood if I wasn't the least crafty person you could meet... all I can do well with my hands is cooking, I am generally very clumsy. But if you tell me more I can delegate this task to DH :o

Like a cheese wire? What a great idea! Never seen one though (so not much use).

Do you mean one of these? - they are useful, but still need care as it is quite possible to cut a cake wonky (IME - but maybe that's just me!)

I have the Rolls Royce of cake cutters www.agbayproducts.com/ - ridiculously sharp and DH would kill me if he knew how much it had cost but I've never heard anything good about the wire ones

Oh my word that is expensive, but... Envy serious cake leveler envy now
