I made pork in cider stew on friday night and kept the leftovers for work today. Can i reheat it in the microwave?

I'm sure you can as long as you make sure it is piping hot. We reheat lots of leftovers in the microwave.

The mantra with reheating meat is as long as it's reheated thoroughly it's not a problem - provided you use it within a realistic time-frame!

And only reheat once.

Yes definitely - I slow roast pork regularly and freeze the leftovers, then defrost and use in a stir fry.

Lagrand, you can re-heat it more than once, just make sure it is thoroughly re-heated, like Gazza says. We re-heat lots of times in our house, including rice (quelle horreurs!).......never a problem, just be sensible.

Lagrand, I am sure that you are absolutely correct for a restaurant, and I would have severe doubts about a restaurant re-heating like that even if it didn't break the law, but in a domestic setting.......?
