cooked a chilli on monday night in preparation to eat on tues. however fancied a pizza so didn't eat it. will it be ok to eat tonight as i'm not sure how long it will keep for? it hasn't been heated up and has been in the pan with a lid on. don't want to poison the whole family!

has it been in the fridge?

jaybird · 18/01/2006 17:32

no, just on the side in a covered pan.

So long as you really heat up up I reckon it's probably okay. Better if kept in fridge really though.. Don't think there is much in chilli that can be dodgy - not like chicken, etc.

I'd feed Dh it anyway

sorry, meant cooked - not ooked!

From what I remeber the chilli keeps it fresh and you're ideally supposed to leave a day or two, should be perfect today
