lamb shank recipes please

I have some lamb shanks. i am going to cook them for sunday. I want something rich,warming and tasty. Anyone got any ideas?

Jamie Oliver does a lovely recipe, basically smother in olive oil, stuff garlic butter and rosemary down a hole next to the bone, wrap in foil sat on leeks galic more osemary anda glut of whit wine and wrap tightly

Yes agree with above. I've used a Gordon Ramsay recipe which is similar but think cooking in White wine tastes than red

i pierce all over and insert garlic cloves and rosemary. put in large pan with tight fitting lid. Add couple of chopped onions, couple tbs redcurrant jelly, couple tbs tom puree, bottle red wine. Low heat in oven for 3-4 hours.

I'm doing lamb shanks tomorrow too. My favourite recipe: put in casserole dish with a few crushed garlic cloves, handful of oregano, a lemon, halved, salt & pepper and a good slug of white wine. Crumble some feta cheese over the top and leave for at least 4 hours on a very low temperature. Just before you serve it, blend the cooked feta with the juices to make a very rich sauce/gravy to go with it.
