Remind me about introducing solids again...

It's only 18 months since DS started solids and it seemed so straight forward, but with DD (23 weeks old) I seem to be a bit lost so advice needed please. I started her a fortnight ago on solids and she's happily taking a variety of vegetables and fruit. Have just started tea as well as lunch and that's all okay, however her milk intake now is very erratic. Pre solids she'd feed at approx 7, 1030, 2, 530 and 1000 and gulp down 8 oz. Now we're all over the place...eg today she fed at 7 and then at lunch at 11 had two cubes of apple but only 1 oz of milk. Refused any more even when offered an hour later. Right now I can hear her awake when she'd normally sleep for two hours. Some feeds she'll only take 4oz. Her best feeds are breakfast, after lunch and late eve. At night she's waking and gurgling/playing (not crying) when normally she'd sleep but I wonder if it's because she's not having enough milk. Her daily intake is still around 32oz. Any advice please...

Are you offering her milk before her solids? I used to split the lunch feed milk/solids/milk which seemed to work for ds. Then when he hit 6 months and started to have protein in his diet I dropped the lunchtime milk feed. You're doing the right thing by not reducing the milk you offer her, but just give her the milk first I think? I also dropped the 10pm feed at about the same stage you're at now. That meant that ds was feeding really at breakfast time, could last till 11am ish for lunch and everything else seemed to work from there. Mostly

Good grief I know what you mean about getting lost, ds only started solids 8 months ago and my mind's just blanked!
