Ok so been out for a carvery for our usual sundays, we had gammon, my dad and partner had some and said it tasted fine, they really enjoyed it, yet I'm more sceptical, my 2and a half year old DS ate it to. Anyway I'm 26weeks pregnant and really worrying about it, it tasted undercooked to me, it was very 'wet' sloppy, unbelievably moist. And chewy. Didn't taste right at all. I'm really worrying as whether it was cooked, clearly boiled, I usually have it roasted.but I have ate boiled gammon before and I have never seen it like that.

Gammon is pork that has been cured, so don't worry about food poisoning. But uncooked gammon is pretty yuck so maybe you should have complained about that. And it might give you tummy ache just because it's quite hard to digest before the meat fibres have been broken down during the cooking process.

So I'm not going to get ill from it? It was seriously yuck, vile.
