QUICK! QUICK! How do I cook spinach??

I've got a bowl of washed, fresh spinach leaves.

I don't want to eat them raw.

How do I cook them quickly to be delicious?

Please ensure your answer contains the word "wilt".

Thanks you.

OK. Put them in a pan with a dash of balsamic vinegar until they WILT, then eat! Grin

McPhee · 15/01/2012 14:13

Boil a pan of water, whilst bubbling plunge leaves in leave for about 30-60 seconds until 'wilted', remove and eat.

MaureenMLove · 15/01/2012 14:13

Or eat raw tbh. They are very nice raw - although not wilted - obviously!

McPhee · 15/01/2012 14:13

Oooh balsamic vinegar, I'll have to try that!

JuliaScurr · 15/01/2012 14:14

MaureenMLove · 15/01/2012 14:15

Knob of butter in a pan, spinach, sea salt and grating of nutmeg. Lid on, medium heat for about 2 minutes, stirring a couple of times. I sometimes also melt the butter first with a peeled clove of garlic in for added loveliness..

I found some pine nuts in the cupoboard but they are best before jan last year. Smell a bit stale.

DO NOT EAT OUT OF DATE PINE NUTS!

They won't kill you or anything, but you do run the risk of getting pine mouth

Tis a real thing, I've had it and it is vile. Put me off pinenuts for years!

SilentBoob · 15/01/2012 15:02

Blimey. Who knew? Luckily I took one whiff and chucked them straight in the bin. Pine mouth eh? How horrid.
