Mango fool/mousse. Whip lots of cream, fold in tinned mango puree. It's a Madhur Jaffrey one which never fails. And both DP and I are half-Asian Grin

Indian kheer is pretty similar to rice pudding. Rice (I like basmati, or you could use normal pudding rice) and whole milk cooked down together till milk is halved in quantity, add sugar and cardamom powder (optional but adds nice flavour), decorate the top with slivers of any combination of nuts (unsalted cashews, almonds, pistachios most commonly used). Variations - add a bit of rosewater for flavour (after cooling). Or serve with a dollop of tinned mango puree on the top.
