Wagyu beef from Asda

Just about to try it. But at 1/6th the price of the stuff not from Asda how good can it be?

Call me a snob but I think you get what you pay for. Asda is not the place for high-end luxury... I know, I sell it to them. And, by the time they've cut all the corners and compromised the spec to hit the price-point, the product they end up just nips past Trading Standards.

It will probaby be nicer than their standard beef but not a patch on the real stuff elsewhere.

You are spot on Cogito. It was nice beef but certainly not what they are claiming it is.

Looking it up they have flown over a Wagyu Bulls semen and impregnated a dairy herd with it. I'm not sure that would really pass trade descriptions to be honest.

However, it was nice enough to be worth what they are charging.
