ds2 (5) hates peas. cant stand them. or sweetcorn either. makes him retch

he loved the small round green sausages we mixed in with his spag bol tonight tho (after protesting that he hated spag bol, couldnt eat it, he wanted spagetti bolognese). he also loved the small yellow sausages that were in there.

the funny orange pasta shapes went down well too. of course there was no carrot in it, he doesnt like it

PMSL.....

never mind... I'm sure that eating "sausages" will be good for him. lol

tribpot · 14/01/2006 18:08

Hee hee. Thank goodness sausages come in such a variety of shapes and sizes. What they can do now with pasta is incredible too

FrannytheQuinoaEater · 14/01/2006 18:08

LOL, I have an adult friend who won't eat aubergine, so we once made him lasagne with "blue sweetcorn" in

gigglinggoblin · 14/01/2006 19:19

lol @ blue sweetcorn. i was going to ask if my ds was more gullible than most 5 year olds, but i think the prize goes to your friend

hunkermunker · 15/01/2006 18:45

My mum made quince jelly when I was younger - I wouldn't eat it (thought "quince" was a spiky word)...but pink jelly, that was very nice

I wish those tricks worked on my kids! I was a very gullible child, but my two will have none of this sort of thing. Until quite recently dd wouldn't even have anything on her plate that she didn't like the look of, and I would worry I would put her off something she does like by trying the green sausage line!
