Bhajis

I made onion bhajis today and since I misplaced my favourite recipe, I used the one on the back of the gram flour package... they were very dense and looked like miniature cannonballs. Anyone have a better recipe, for lighter, fluffier bhajis? It's one of my toddler's favourite foods right now.

Rather than bhajis, which I find tend to be quite dense and never seem to be properly cooked in the middle, have you thought about trying vegetable pakora? They are very similar but instead of balls you slice the onion thinly, batter and fry. As well as onions you can try other veg, we usually have potatotes, cauliflower, courgette and spinich leaves (these come out particularly well, very crispy).
