Yoghurts for younguns - which are the best ones?????

My two both like yoghurts. So many of them have sugar etc in and DD is more swayed by packaging in the first instance.

Which ones do you lot recommend (low sugar/sweeteners/additives etc) and taste good of course!

i'd rather them have sugar and fats than chemicals. i have some yeo valley bio stuff in my fridge atm.

Heathcliffscathy · 12/01/2006 16:32

i have always used plain natural with all fruit jam stirred in. much much cheaper, he loves it and there is absolutely no crap in it!

bundle · 12/01/2006 16:34

plain full fat, the greek stuff is nice. with honey or maple syrup. the other stuff is a waste of money imo

expatinscotland · 12/01/2006 16:41

I get YeoValley Natural - just hte plain, full fat stuff. I do add pureed fruit to it, tho.

melrose · 12/01/2006 16:42

Rachels Organics little ones have no added sugar

saadia · 12/01/2006 16:43

Mine have Yeo Valley Organic, they say they put in minimal amounts of sugar.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 12/01/2006 16:43

Will give yeo valley a try. Hadnt even occurred to me to mix plain with fruit puree! Duh!!

we should have shares in yeo valley in this house.

i don't recomend the mums4organic ones. on paper they're fab, but they taste, in the words of my 15mo....yeeuch.

newkid · 12/01/2006 16:50

Rachael's dairy organic ones - just have added fruit puree/juice; no sugar or artificial sweeteners.

hana · 12/01/2006 16:51

also use greek yogurt, it's got nothing in it, and I add chopped up fruit ,w hatever we've got
both dds love it ( 4 and 1)

sweetkitty · 12/01/2006 16:52

Would agree with everyone on here Yeo Valley Organic or Rachels Little Ones Organic, only ncie things in them no gunk or Yeo Valley Full fat plain yoghurt with fruit puree added.

NannyL · 14/01/2006 16:16

another vote for rachels kids org yogurt.... No added sugar (uses pure fruit concentrate instead)
or mums 4 yoguts which are also good.

natural organic yogurt with fruit puree mixed in is yummmy too!

PennyLess · 14/01/2006 20:26

I got an e-mail from Mums4 today claiming how much sugar there is even in the Little Rachels ones which has confused me a bit as I get them for their lack of sugar. Might be worth checking out the Mums4 website. If anyone can enlighten me I'd be delighted.

popsycalindisguise · 14/01/2006 20:27

mums4 ones are great - but my tescos has stopped stocking them grrr

popsycalindisguise · 14/01/2006 20:28

r the big plain tub of yeo vally iwth fruit puree in

PennyLess · 14/01/2006 20:30

I used to get Mums4, but there was one flavour they didn't like, plus I found they just didn't last (went out of date quickly) so I could only get one pack at a time which is hopeless for 3 kids. I think my tescos has stopped them too anyway.

notasheep · 14/01/2006 20:57

Me too for Rachels Organics, they are made here

Racers · 14/01/2006 21:34

Another YeoValley household here. Add my own fruit purees or sometimes Organix ones. Have tried Little Rachels but local shops don't have the small ones (DD only 7m so I would be forced to eat leftovers. oh, hang on.... )

hunkermunker · 14/01/2006 21:36

Yeo Valley natural yoghurt - DS prefers it plain (he's a sucker for packaging too - he likes the plain one because it has a flower on the front of it - Fifi Flowertot has a lot to answer for ).

VeniVidiVickiQV · 14/01/2006 22:23

Have picked up some Yeo Valley this week. Will try RAchels organic next week as i they dont have added sugar.
