Which kitchen gadget would rub butter into flour for me?

And no one is to say "your hands"!
Have been drooling over mixer porn for months now and have decided 2012 will be the year of the fancy new kitchen gadget...humming and hawing between kitchen aid and kenwood chef and trying to think about which task I would most like a machine to be able to do for me... Rubbing in butter is my most hated, which gadget would do that for me, does anyone know?!

I would use my Magimix for that kind of thing. It's the best I have come across for making pastry.

Tbh, I use it way more than my KitchenAid for every day stuff. I also use a hand held mixer a lot if it's something small and a stick blender for soups/small amounts of blending.

Magimix does it all including dough (very successfully). Small footprint so it'll stay out and get used daily :). Well, ours does...

So it appears I should actually be thinking magimix vs Kenwood?? Hmmmmm...

Magimix people which model do you have? It looks like the 3200 is closest in price to the Kenwood?

Caz10 - I use for both sweet and savoury. I mix pastry and cake batter in it, mince, chop, liquidise. Even make instant ice cream. It has a small footprint, which is why it is so handy as it sits on the work surface and is used 3 - 4 times a week.

I have a small hand blender for whisking and liquidising small amounts but everything else goes in the Magimix. It is very old now so I dont really know what the modern equivalent model is but it is similar in capacity and style to this low end Compact 3200.

I have a kitchenaid and it fulfils all my whisking/kneading/mixing etc needs. I do a lot of baking (used to be a pastry chef) and it is my best friend. I would rather get rid of the washing machine

Oh help ma boab so undecided! Nigel the KA wont chop though will it? I think that is where the other two are tempting, I hate chopping onions for soup etc!
