Have had this as a request for a Christmas gift. Obviously, I could just get a recipe from Good Food etc, but as she wants a recipe book too I thought I'd see if I could combine. Any thoughts?

(Not visiting til next week so still have time to order!)

Delia's original has one, I think

Delia Smiths illustrated cookery guide (summat like that) or Cretan Cooking, which has some lovely and unusal dishes in.

I would go for Cretan cooking, as it would probably include other recipes she would like. Greek cooking is traditional and conservative, not too many variations and pretty standard ingredients such as olive oil, potatoes, onions, green vegetables, tomatoes etc.

Some recipes from the book here

So, though not experimental, it's quite dependable!

The cooking style is non experimental, not necessarily the book!
