Turkey, who's recipe are you doing?

Er instead of the nice small crown DP was supposed to buy I have a whole turkey!
I have never cooked one before. Which recipe is best?
Cook it upside down?
Cook it with foil on?
Butter & bacon or just butter?

Help me please! I am lost in a sea of turkey recipes!

How big is it? I would do butter an bacon and foil then take the foil and possibily the bacon off for the last bit.

Nigella's is dead easy. Quick and no messing (not the soak overnight one, the bog standard 'shove in oven upside down' one).
