Will drinking this milk spoil Xmas?

We get our milk delivered - it gets left in a little insulated box on our doorstep. Yesterday we forgot to bring it in till midnight ( it had been there since 6am). Dh claimed it was cold. I want to chuck it, especially as we have 80 yr old relatives for tea today. Dh thinks I'm being ridiculous and says how do I think people managed before fridges were invented. Please advise, wise mumsnetters!

If its as cold where you are as it is here it will be fine. My dad didn't have a fridge until the late 70s. All milk was left outside the sack door in winter. Smile

What does it smell like - I am usually pretty careful but if it's sealed and in an insulated box in this weather I would have thought it would be ok.

Will get dh to sniff it! We are in the south east so not so cold here!

It's not cold here either. I wouldn't drink it as am weirdly obsessed with food going off. The worry would ruin it for me.

You'll know if milk is off. It smells and it curdles. We frequently use milk past it's sell-by date and it's fine. Your milk will be OK.

South East England it didn't get above 10C yesterday. Domestic ridges run between 5 and 10C. Your milk will be fine.
