help please - could I put fruit salad in muffin cases?

I'm taking fresh fruit salad to night to a party, pineapple, mango, melon and blueberries.
I need my nice bowl for tomorrow's lunch and don't really want to take it in just tupperware. Could I do little individual servings in muffin cases do you think or will they not be able to cope with the juices?

TIA

the cases would not hold up to having fruit juice in, why can't you use the bowl tonight and tomorrow Xmas Confused

The party is at someone else's house and I don't know the hosts well enough to insist they empty the left over fruit salad into another bowl so that I can take it with me when we leave. (I envisage we'll be leaving before the end )

If it's not too late, could you put it in the hollowed-out melon halves?

that would have been the sensible thing for me to do AP but too late now Smile

if it's a lovely bowl, i don't think the host would mind at all if you asked to take it home

i certainly wouldn't mind if someone asked me

When you leave, tip the remains from the bowl into their toilet and say you were sick.

Hey presto good excuse to leave AND you get your bowl back

Mmm I bloody love fruit salad Smile

ok, posh bowl it is then. Actually, there might be some left in it when i leave which i then get to use tomorrow!!!

WAJ, it does taste delicious. The pineapple is one of the nicest i think I've ever tasted and the blue berries are just scrumptious. Perhaps I'll skip the party and stay at home and much my way through it???

Take your tupperware with you to the party, and when you leave, empty the fruit salad in the tupperware and insist they enjoy it. You can then take your nice bowl home. I would be happy with that, if I were the hostess.

I am no help but could you post list of how you have made it,I love a naice fruit salad

mckenzie · 23/12/2011 18:59

I've just peeled and chopped etc saving some of the juice then I add a certain amount of cointreau (i usually do two bowl fills, one with and one without).

As long as the suit is top quality, that is all you need I think.
