Solid biscuit dough. Help!

I prepared some biscuits yesterday. the recipe said to put the ball of dough in the fridge for two hours but as i didn't have time with the children to roll out and bake last night it's been in for nearly 24 hours and it's very solid now. shall i just leave at room temp for a while to warm up/ quick blast in microwave?

You could try putting it into sandwich bags and running it under hot water.
Also cutting the dough into smaller pieces helps it warm faster - try beating it with a rolling pin, or see which of your children can throw it hardest against the wall

just leave it out of the fridge for a bit, or cut into smaller bits and roll in your hands first.

Have you got a magimix or similar? Cut into chunks that will fit through the tube, and then feed them in with the motor running. Works for frozen pastry, too.
