Home made bread and rolls

Which do you think will keep longer - rolls or loaves, white or wholemeal?

I owuld make rolls and freeze them in bags - they don't take long to defrost and are still good if froozen.

A loaf will last three days and then toast in this house, but I find to big to freeze and defrost easily

wholemeal keeps better IME and a loaf will stay soft longer than rolls because it has a smaller surface area / volume ratio.

We will be taking it with us (long story), so it will probably need to live in the boot of the car for a few days.

I do like the scientific reasoning...
