Can I feed my christmas cake with port?

I've run out of brandy and only fed it a few times - would like to get one if not 2 quick cake feeds in before I decorate it - does anyone know if port would work?

I heard Lorraine Pascale (that model-turned-cook) on the radio yesterday and she says she always feeds hers with port. Hope that helps!

I'm not sure about the port and brandy together tbh. Don't risk spoiling it.
If you've fed it a few times I expect it'll be nice as it is.

thanks elfy that was my worry. yos maybe it's good with port if it's only port not mixed with brandy

Port and Brandy are both made from grapes, so a mixture shouldn't be bad. They certainly go together well in a hip flask!
