pop corn maker

I'm pretty sure OH has bought me a popcorn maker.
How he translated "ooh - a nice kitchen gadget, surprise me" into a popcorn maker is beyond me. But he has.
Is there anything to love about popcorn makers?

We have had one for years and used to come out for dcs partners,
But now the dcs are teenagers they do use it. Came home last night to find pop corn all over the kitchen an dd sitting there with a great big bowl of popcorn.
