Smoked Salmon

I have a large pack of smoked salmon that I bought cheap in M&S the day it was going out of date and chucked it straight in the freezer. The use by date was May! Do you think it's still ok to use?

If it was correctly sealed, has remained frozen since then and is fully defrosted before eating, it should be fine.
If you're worried, you can always use it in cooked dishes like pasta, rather than eating it raw.

Bring a piece of it to room temperature. You'll know immediately by the smell if it's off ( can still recall smell weeks after a big sniff of smoked salmon that had been pushed to the back of the fridge...)

Was planning on using it for bagels on Christmas morning...it's perfectly sealed and has been frozen since the day I bought it, so I reckon it'll be ok, but I might buy another pack just in case (which I'll then chuck in the freezer if the first one is fine!). Thanks for the advice.
