Hi all.

Christmas on a shoe string this year so thought Id get some nice glass jars from IKEA and decorate them and fill them with home made cookies or similar (bake them
with dd) as pressies for our neighbours, Childminder etc.

BUT I need to find a recipe of something I can bake that will last a week. I need to bake on Monday and will be handing them out Thursday and Xmas day is Sunday. Cupcakes or muffins will be rock hard by Xmas day- any ideas?

Perhaps cookies or gingerbread would last a week? Does anyone have any recipes? I have some
nice Xmas themed cookie cutters which I could use.

Thanks, Starbuck. X

250 g flour,
1 TL baking powder,
75 g sugar,
1 pinch of salt,
1 egg,
125 g melted butter (unsalted, or leave out the extra salt)

spices as desired, cinnamon, almond essence, vanilla essence, black pepper, nutmeg, ginger...

Hi - they're not cut out able, but Indith's cookies (in the recipe section) are very luscious, and will keep for a while in an airtight tin (though in normal circumstances it is difficult not to have them all eaten up in a very short time indeed :))
